I just got back from the 34th International Symposium on Transport Phenomena in Taiwan (November 10-14), and it was such an amazing experience. It went really well! I got to chat with so many people in the field, and their ideas and feedback were super helpful. It really opened my eyes to some new perspectives on energy conversion.
One of the most delightful surprises was running into my previous supervisor and my old labmate. It was such a coincidence to meet them here! We talked about the old days, shared what we’ve been working on recently, and even had some fun swapping life updates. Honestly, it was such a highlight of the trip.
The food here has been absolutely fantastic, and the people are so warm and welcoming. The city itself really reminded me of Vietnam, especially with all the motorbikes zipping around—it felt like a little slice of home. I was feeling all nostalgic and excited at the same time.
